CABA (Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires) Ministry of Education selected Trinity Argentina as an education partner to certify English language learners from public bilingual schools over a four-year project from 2024 to 2027.
The project aims to assist in the development of English language proficiency across four core skills areas (speaking, listening, reading and writing).
The Ministry of Education is offering a scholarship to support certification across the four English language core skills to qualifying learners in the city of Buenos Aires. This scholarship is being made available to primary, secondary and adult learners.
Trinity College London’s Integrated Skills in English (ISE) qualification was selected to integrate alongside CABA schools’ regular curriculum. In year one, learners prepared for and undertook the ISE at Foundation level, progressing to the ISE I level in year two.
Many of the schools participating in the project teach mixed groups of learners, some of whom have not gained the scholarship. Trinity worked closely with the Ministry of Education to understand these challenges and created a solution that enabled easy integration of our ISE qualification into the existing curriculum.
To better support the CABA teachers involved in the project, Trinity also developed an on-boarding, training and resource support offer including teacher training sessions that explained the learning outcomes and tasks in each ISE module step-by-step and specialist exam preparation resources.
The first student cohort of 182 candidates prepared for and sat Trinity’s Integrated Skills in English (ISE) Foundation exam in December 2024.
The overall pass rate exceeded targets at an impressive 98.9%, with 91.2% achieving the full certificate.
Following an outstanding year one, the project is now in its second year and working to build on these successes. A new cohort will now prepare for and take the ISE Foundation and ISE I level.
