Global projects

Trinity collaborates with ministries, governmental bodies and educational authorities around the world. Here are some examples of our recognition::

  • Trinity ESOL and TESOL qualifications are accepted by the Mexican Ministry of Education (SEP) for scholarships and professional development programmes.
  • Trinity College London certificates are validated by CENNI (Certificación Nacional de Nivel de Idioma).

  • Trinity collaborates with national universities and local governments in bilingual projects in primary and secondary, public and private schools through scholarships and agreements.
  • In cooperation with Ministries of Education, Trinity provides teacher training sessions to foster local teacher development in the provinces.
  • Trinity has been selected by the Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires to participate in the Ciudad Bilingue project. In this project, the Ministry will grant hundreds of scholarships to students from public, bilingual schools and language centres from the City, and they have chosen ISE Foundation as a valid qualification to improve students’ language and communication skills. Trinity is also delivering training sessions to teachers from these schools. This joint effort will allow hundreds of students to apply for these scholarships and obtain an international certification. 

  • Trinity exams are recognised by INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service) for ILEP (Interim List of Eligible Programmes) purposes.
  • ISE I and ISE II are accepted as proof of English language proficiency for Irish student visas.

  • Both ISE and GESE exams taken in Secure English Language Test (SELT) Centres in the UK are approved and accepted by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for settlement and visa application purposes.
  • At an institutional level, ISE is accepted by most UK universities, including many of the prestigious Russell Group.

  • The Polish Ministry of Education and Science, through the Journal of Law Regulation dated 14 September 2023, has accepted Trinity Integrated Skills in English (B2, C1, and C2 CEFR levels), along with qualifications recognised for teachers to demonstrate English language proficiency. This enables individuals holding ISE certificates at those levels to become English teachers in Polish nurseries and primary schools.

  • Trinity collaborates with regional governments on bilingual projects at both primary and secondary levels in the state, state-subsidised and private sectors through various agreements across the country.
  • Trinity ISE certificates are accredited by CRUE (Council of Spanish University Rectors) and ACLES (Association of Language Centres in Higher Education).
  • Virtually all Spanish institutions and universities officially accept ISE I (B1) and above, meeting Bologna, Erasmus and employment requirements. ISE is also used as a requirement for teachers applying for certain job roles, such as the ISE III (C1) requirement to become a teacher at bilingual schools.

  • Trinity GESE exams are recognised in 276 degree courses and Trinity ISE exams in 3,405.
  • Trinity Italy is included in the Green Community (linked to Agenda 2030).
  • Trinity exams can be used for PON (Programma Operativo Nazionale) projects and for CLIL (Content and language integrated learning) courses.
  • Trinity exams give credits in public competitions.
  • Trinity College London is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education.
  • Trinity is listed in the agreement between CRUI (Conference of Italian Rectors) and MIUR (Ministry of Education, Universities and Research) for the conversion of language qualifications into CFU (University Formative Credits).
  • Trinity Italy is a recognised body for teachers’ training.

  • ISE II to ISE IV are recognised by the Greek government as valid proof of language proficiency, being mentioned on the ASEP (Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection) list of required qualifications for civil servants.

  • ISE I to ISE IV are recognised by the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth and are on the List of Internationally Recognised Exams for the Certification of Language Proficiency in Foreign Languages. See edu.ro.

  • Trinity has worked closely with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India to develop a communicative test of English for students in secondary schools — this test has been taken by more than 2.5 million students in India.

  • Trinity’s English language exams are recognised for the Hong Kong English in the Workplace Campaign, a government-led initiative to increase public awareness of the importance of English skills for the workplace.
  • Trinity exams are also used by the Chinese Athletes Education Foundation.
  • GESE exams are used and recognised by the Beijing Education Examinations Authority and the Hubei Education Examinations Authority.

  • The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) has confirmed that all Trinity music and performing arts qualifications (Acting for Screen, in-progress) above Grade 4 now contribute credit towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). The QCE provides evidence of senior schooling achievements.

  • The School Curriculum and Standards Authority in Western Australia have confirmed that they recognise both Drama and Speech (Grades 5-8) and Music Performance (Grades 5 and 6) qualifications as evidence of secondary school achievement. The aforementioned may be listed on a student’s West Australian Statement of Student Achievement (WASSA) and may contribute towards the depth requirement of the West Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).

  • ISE and CertTESOL are featured in the NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority) Programme Approval, Recognition and Accreditation Rules, which permits the examinations to be used as part of a student’s application to study at colleges and universities within New Zealand.
